ABOUT US

Who we are

CARE is an agency that promotes the empowerment of individuals and families through relationships with schools, businesses, public services and other community based organizations. Solution-focused programs and activities are designed to strengthen individuals in their role as employees, students and as family members. CARE’s skilled and credentialed staff works with community members to prevent and respond to real life issues including the misuse of alcohol, tobacco and other drugs.

By navigating CARE’s website, visitors can see that CARE offers real solutions for real life.

Children and adults can learn ways to solve their own problems by participating in a wide variety of educational activities focused on building solid relationships with others.

Who we serve

CARE’s client population includes adults, students, employees and employers, parents, people with disabilities, foster children and their parents, and those experiencing problems with the law.

To serve these populations, CARE has collaborative relationships or contracts with public agencies and businesses that know our services will benefit their clients.

CARE’s WorkLife Solutions provides proactive tools for employers and employees that ensure a productive work/life balance by addressing issues that impact both personal and organizational development.

How we are funded

Sixty percent (60%) of CARE’s funding comes from the Macomb County Community Mental Health Office of Substance Abuse www.mcosa.net.  Additional funding is provided through fundraising efforts and contracts with schools, businesses, municipalities and other public agencies.

Maintain financial stability

CARE’s Board of Directors and honorary board members play an active role in providing the organization’s financial stability and developing policy.
